Is India a Treaty Country for the E-2 visa?

Unfortunately, India is not a treaty country for the E-2 visa. This means that an Indian national cannot apply for the E-2 visa. However, if the Indian national has a passport from another country which happens to be an E-2 treaty country, it is then possible to apply for the E-2 visa with this country. Other visa options include the L-1, H1B and EB-5 visas.
